The Tethered Show

The original thing in the 1980s hands across america was this i think it's 87. Was an attempt to show that we were all one as a country by having a group as many people as possible link hands and thus create what i would call an imaginary unity of the country. This didn't exist because reagan cuts to all kinds of social spending so there certainly wasn't any actual unity um but what i like about this is in the actual event there were large gaps within the within the chainso yep  the event itself showed that the illusion the the unity was imaginary in both senses imaginary once it creates an image of the whole but it's also imaginary this didn't exist it
