Theophoric Names in the Near East

Theophoric names were very common in the ancient near east. It is quite possible that moses was originally a theophoric name, but i couldn't prove it. We do seem to have some records of moses or messes being used as an egyptian name,. so that it id not have a divine element in the name. And because ofa we do have instances of that in the historical record. I think it's quite possible, maybe even likely, but i didn't go into it.
