Some scholars have suggested that indo arian speakers actually conquered the axa civilization, maybe as early as two thousand b c. That seems less likely to me than a period of ongoing and increasingly intensive contacts between groups. The oxis civilization was at the heart of a series of long distance trade routes that led westward mesopotamia and south through what's now afghanistan toward the indus valley. Do we have any idea how this could have happened? And if they did migrate, then what did they find?
