The Perception of Funding Being Abundant
I think one big insight for me getting to work on grant making is there this is perception that I think I see quite often where people think that in the realm of preventing large-scale catastrophes funding is really abundant and as long as you have a good project there is just going to be no challenge to getting it funded. There's some problems that some mention but I don't think the funding is actually as abundant as some people imply. Just being at effective giving at least in my experience has really reinforced the importance of having a really healthy culture in our organization.
