Is There a Susceptibility to Carbohydrates?

There is a recent study on maternal mortality in the, in the black community through the military health services. And it was higher in in blacks than other groups. I wonder if there's a susceptibility to blacks because of their slightly maybe different susceptibility to carbohydrates. For one reason or another, we know that the American Indians tend to have a higher rate of diabetes and obesity also. But all that being said, like, I think that we really need to start looking at racism as a, as a public health problem.
