Alexander of Ireland was able to bridge previous divides between what would often been a very, very sort of fractious and fragmented opposition movement. He seemed to be bringing together a coalition of the Fed up, who for whole variety of different reasons were unhappy with the status quo. And this is why his movement actually was able to build itself as a national movement rather than just simply a Moscow inside the beltway type one. That's why he and his movement had to go.
