How Does Self-Determination Theory Work?
I had recently been teaching with this method called TPRS, which is teaching proficiency through reading and storytelling. And I was just blown away and amazed at how motivated and engaged the students were when we were doing this. But I didn't really understand why it was so motivating and so engaging. So once I started looking up self-determination theory, I immediately had that light bulb click moment. This is it, this makes perfect sense, I understand now how motivation works.
