In Portugal or in France, when you are at school as a child, you have English lessons taught by a teacher who might be Portuguese or French. And then there's the other situation where as adults, people realize, Oh my God, I've got to improve my English. As an adult, the classes are smaller. You pay more money, obviously, because it's not part of the state school system. So your experience is of the second one, you know, teaching English to adults in small groups in classrooms. In that situation, it really, it depends a lot on the motivation and attitude and habits of the learners - so many factors involved.
