"There lies the resentment and anger, but when you do have that, it's just different. You can walk upstairs and I can talk to a white coach and we can sit there and chop it up about anything," he says. "It's one thing for a coach to look at a young black player who never had money and tell him what he should be doing." He adds: "Another thing for a black man to talk to a young black man who might not have necessarily had an older brother or father figure".
