How to Write Magic Systems and Rules

Once your magic system has enough rules that it makes this perfect logical sense, it starts appealing to a different kind of audience. You find people like on my forums who are discussing the different various forms of magic in the Mistborn books quite a bit more than I ever expected anyone to discuss them. The rule-based system in the Harry Potter's books is very similar to the rules for one superhero. We'll come back next week and talk more about magic systems.
