The History of Moore's Law
The semiconductor industry was founded by chemists, physicists and electrical engineers. Moore's Law says you double something every 18 months or so. When I went to Intel in 1973, 1974, the state of the art circuit was a 1K dynamic RAM with 1000 capacitors. Today we have a couple of billion transistors - incredible functionality increase over that time period.
