"I fell in love with literature and my late teens, I like Faulkner didn't do well in high school at all," he says. "A professor from the Mississippi Delta from Mississippi said one day you're going to earn a fair living with a pen" He was inspired by Robert Radcliffe Hill who started him on his literary journey.
