The Great Flood of Egypt

The nile connected egypt. It allowed people to travel quickly from north to south, and it turned a thousand scattered villages into something more unified. Of course, the most important feature of the nile was the flood. Once a year, around august and september, monsoon reigns in the south would fill the river to overflowing. The waters would rise, spilling over the banks and covering the fields in nourishing liquid and silt. This muddy soil renewed the farmland and gave them new life.
