What Is the Point of Advisory Opinions?
Mauritius and Serbia have asked for advisory opinions on law. What are they trying to achieve? Is the point of this just to get good statements on the law so that we sort of have a clearer sense of what the law is? Or is there something more because again, I suspect that say for Serbia or for Mauritius, they're very concerned also about the bottom line. So yeah, what for you would be a good outcome coming back to this question of what's the point of these kinds of opinions or these requests?
