Blue wa was considered to be like, the better technology. The microsot didn't really care that much about h d v v d. It was, to them, a stalking horse to prevent sony for and mess with sony's efforts on the play station three. And so anything to slow down, prevent people from gettng ther way, bak box three 60, they wodn't do. So i don't think anyone adopted blue ray because of the cope protection.
