The History of the Spanish Civil War
In a lot of ways, the Spanish Civil War is normally spoken about as a conflict between democracy and fascism. The fascist right came together with the bourgeoisie, the landlords, et cetera, teamed up to stage a coup in 1936. As fighting broke out, countries across the world took notice - how did other countries get involved? Which countries took the side of the fascist and which countries backed up the left wing forces?
