Every single morning when I wake up now, everyone tends to just go to their phone immediately and get that external source of dopamine hit. My therapist tells me this all the freaking time, like too much. If you are dependent on anything external for that happiness, for that validation, it's not stable. You're never going to be fulfilled because there's bumps in the road in life. And if those bumps are dependent on how other people view you or if I get this job or if I eat just things outside of yourself, then it's kind of going to break you down and destroy you every time you have a hiccup.
