Is There a Golden Age of Television?

I think this was not the golden age of television. But I also think that any TV from that era would be shockingly bad to a 36 year old in 2018. Like Starsky and Hutch is not very sophisticated. Even Cheers, which isn't even that long ago, like I find excruciating to watch just because it's so predictable. It sort of has to feel cheesy to us. Or like we do reality TV.
