I think that we all long for the mystical experience. But I also think that that desire for experience can lead us in very wrong directions. And if if the experience is what's important to you, then you are putting yourself in the same situation as a person for whom the gift is more important than the giver. The focus on him recognizing that he is the one who he promises us things he gives us hope he gives us gifts. It is him that I love not the promise that he fulfills. There comes a time in every life when, like when you're raising a child, when a mother's raising a child. She needs to back off and let that child have that space
