G.A.R. Group, like Core Civic and other private prison companies, have been plagued with litigation and claims of human rights abuses. They are currently facing and have faced a number of civil lawsuits that come down to the standard of healthcare offered in these facilities. One of the lawsuits involves a 21-year-old who committed suicide at a facility run by this company. The accusation was adapted with deliberate and conscious indifference to his family. It's indifference to his health and safety.
