At the time, they were calling that slate of competitors in the republican party the strongest group ever assembled. So you need a certain kind of personality to pull off using the tools he has. And that's why he's the strongest persuader i've seen. He has both the knowledge of the tools but a willingness to use them in a way that other people would not.
