Is There a Greater Adequacy of Our Ideas?
For spinoza, a greater adequacy of our ideas propels us beyond sad passions. So it's not always clear to me how much power the understanding has over sad passions. And i know the understanding former forms a part of the joyful affects. But could you just say something about how it is we are supposed to become active and joyful in relation to these sad passions?
