Is Open Source a Good Idea?

We want to be the ones that actually build the very useful product where most of the value is out there, and engineers can get it and use it. The second idea is that we might not yet decide it on particular features. We are thinking about like mericin dis delination between what is for data scientists and what is fo business user. And of course, frankly, just the whole point of running open source isn't free.
