Assyrian king Tiglath pelasa died in the year ten, 76 b c. On his death bed he must have looked back on a life of staggering success. He had grown his kingdom into an empire that was all but unmatched in the region. The fortunes of assyria would soon change for good with the reign of a king named adadnirari.
