Bodies had decomposed for a number of days before they were found. Decomp permeated every inch of that house. The bathtub was full of the big black blow flies of death. I can still snip out Decomp like a trained dog. My father was a bit of a hoarder. Like, porn and sex toys and a thousand trash bags and receipts of donations to the church. An essay that I had written in Greek school that I could no longer translate. And then I found an envelope with my name on it,. Opened it and it was full of photographs of me happy and smiling ... evidence of a childhood that I didn't and don't remember.
