What Do You Think of the Women in D'Amietta?
Margaret de Pervance because of her terrifying experiences in D'Amietta. Blanche of Castile being a very strong-minded woman herself and very fond of her eldest son that never really seems to trusted Margaret with Louis. John of Jorannville records we really think that the king ought not to be showing quite so much grief for his mother when he has a wife and children an army to look after. It's notable also that Louis was so upset when his mother died and poor Margaret was left standing on the sidelines.
