The Solstice

The word solstice is derived from the Latin soul, sun and sister day to stand still. On around June 21st the sun does seem to pause from earth,. As well as the two solstices, we also note the two equinoxesLatin for equal night where the sun crosses the equator in March and September. These four dates have been extremely important to humanity since we first started to grow crops.
