The Importance of Anti-Imperialism in the Left
I think you raise a crucial point about how the failure to address imperialism and emphasize the need of anti imperialism has historically led to many splits within the left. The third international that was created after the Russian Revolution emphasized the importance of anti colonialism being part of the class struggle. Marx actually did realize that just as there is class exploitation and class struggle there is international exploitation struggle and so on.
