The project was greenlit and five weeks before shooting began the entire script was rejected by Steven Spielberg and Joe Johnston. Johnson thought about quitting the projects on a few occasions because of his uncertainty about how the film would turn out Considering that it did not have a finished script. He said that the making of the film was a living hell on a daily basis whoa I Don't think it's that bad, I think there's some good dinosaur action But no it's markedly worse looking dinosaurs.
