The Effect of Sugary Drinks on Performance

Sports drinks with a high concentration of carbohydrate in the sugars can cause GI distress across the board. If you're constantly bringing in this higher sugar concentration, drink and effectively dehydrating yourself, you never really in a state to perform maximally. So we think about hydrating throughout the day to ready us for sport. It's eating watery fruits and veggies, it's drinking mineral water that has some sodium in it or it's making your own sports drink.
