I Think It Boils Down to Lack of Trust in Media as an Institution
I think it really boils down to lack of trust in media as asa institution. When you only are able to present information in ways that feel really alienating to a lot of your audience base, of course, they're going to check out. So i completely agree with you. It's understandable to me why so many people are getting their information from som questionable sources. And then it feels this kind of like lingering distrust they have in the institution of journalism or media.
