The Case of David Stewart
David Stewart was charged with soliciting for sodomy and impersonating a police officer. Panama City Police were unfamiliar with the calls he was accused of making, so searched his mobile home where they found multiple guns and holsters. A single prepaid calling card was recovered connected to nine other scam calls made during the summer of 2003. The targets in those calls included Wendy's and Burger King restaurants in Idaho and Oklahoma. He pleaded not guilty and was released on bail for $100,000. His trial was slated to take place at the end of the year.
