In 2022 the population in China dropped by about 850,000 people to 1.4 billion. It was the first decline since 1961, the last year of China's great famine. For many years there was draconian enforcement of that one child policy. But it wasn't until 2015 that the party abandoned it and began revising it upwards. We'll hear more about the one child policy in a moment but first let's hear from some women in China who don't want three kids.
