The shaju pan scam has been a very successful scam in China. They start out small, make friends, raise you and then interest you in cryptocurrency. Once they've received that huge amount of money from you, they then take all your money and run. The authorities started to crack down on it so people weren't falling for this scam anymore because they'd heard about it. So then they started to target the Chinese diaspora abroad. It's almost accepted within China...it is accepted to scam and take advantage of foreigners.
