Is an Estimate Worth It?
Chris Fek: Even if software engineers are terrible at estimating, we should still do estimates and try to schedule things because most of the time an inaccurate estimate is better than no estimate at all. John Sutter: Are there tasks or sets of work that we think shouldn't be estimated? Chris Fek: I have a hard time because I am very pro estimates, but I'm also very anti estimates in some ways.
