Bonaparte and the Treaty of Amiene

The french and british finally signed thetreaty of amien in march 18 o two. For the first time in a decade, there was no war in europe. Bonaparte exploited all this good news to give him even more power. The resulting constitution of year ten was thoroughly autocratic. It included a provision making bonaparte first consul for life. So clearly, the french revolution is over.
