When my child is in the eye of the storm, I would let it be. It certainly requires a lot of trust as a parent to be able to let go of our feelings of wanting to put a timer on it and fix it. They can be very positive for our relationship as well if we can handle them with patience and trust. You'll see your child come out of this state where everything seemed wrong and our world seemed all wrong and they just kind of turned on a dime and they're fine.
