Buffett says that no part of the investment analysis process ought to be outsourced. If you have analysts, then what's going to happen is basically you are not going to know the businesses that you're investing in as well as your analysts does. And so they could actually come up with a great idea, which is within the circle of competence. You're too dumb to understand it because it's not in yours. But every day when he goes to work, he has to think about railroads.
