Deepsea Tourism: A World Not Many People Know About
CNN's Ben Pearlman has been reporting on Deepsea Tourism since 2009. The company, Ocean Gate, offers tours of previously unknown parts of our ocean for up to $250,000 a person. It sounds like extreme tourism, almost like space tourism in a way, he says. He compares it to Chuck Yeager breaking the speed of sound and how if there were people who were passionate enough they will always go to that extreme.
