The Relationship Between White Evangelicals and Donald Trump
i think a lot of people thought of this relationship as purely transactional, that they thought, oh, ok, get it. And i think that that completely overlooks the nature of this relationship with Donald trump. They really see tromp as somebody who's unafraid to take on their battles, and that he understands their battles. When it comes right down to it, these tween white evangelicals are fighting for liberal democracy: an independent judiciary, a free press, an accountable government.
