So if you go to wonder.com or download the app, my code is Andrew104. And if you use that, then you will get $30 off your first two orders and then I'll get $30 of free food. So if you want to feed Andrew, you can have

a lot of free food. I

hope so. I mean, that's what I'm hoping for. I'm hoping that it just goes up and up and then it'll be like, oh, good. Plus I'm like, you know, spreading good food, good family experiences for people. So some people listening to this are thinking, OK, serial entrepreneur, super successful. Now he's gotten into fast, casual and food. You've got actually a very, very big vision for this company. You've raised, I want to say, $1.6 billion for it. And you definitely have to teach me your fundraising practices. But you've got like a very big vision. And for those people also who are thinking, hey, is this in effect in my area? You now cover most of New York City, a lot of New Jersey, some of Pennsylvania, including parts of Philly, Rhode Island. You're just expanding to D.C. So your footprint is growing, but you've got a very big vision for Wunder.

Yeah, well, I mean, we have 40 locations open now. And like you said, most of them in New York Metro. But we're in about nine months, we'll have 100 locations open and then open up another 100 plus next year. So it's very quickly going to be up and down the Northeast Corridor. We'll be in Philly starting this week, next week, and then DC later in the year, and then the rest of the Northeast next year. So it'll, you know, start to see them pop up in pretty much everywhere in the not too distant future. But
Speaker 2
yeah, you're even talking about using AI to optimize for our nutrition, for budgets, for recipes. You guys have bought Blue Apron, which is a company that I'm sure a lot of people have heard of, which is like home cooking kits, you know, and now I see actually a little Blue Apron promos

on the Wonder app. So you're thinking really big. Yeah, we also bought Grubhub and Seamless recently too. So you'll start to see local restaurants pop up on the Wonder app as well. So in addition to the great first party experience, you'll also be able to get food from your local restaurant as well.

I got to say, Mark, like, you know, finding out about Wonder and the rest of this, it's been fascinating for me to see you operate and work. Again, I think you are one of the somehow underrated entrepreneurs, even though you're very highly rated. So you're around vision, capital, and people as the three things that make a great business work. And Wonders attracted some awesome people, not just on the chef side. Yeah, absolutely.
Speaker 1
I mean, I think, you know, this is something I've been an entrepreneur now raising money for 25 years. Like, you know, I've done probably a couple thousand pitches at this point. Like and one of the things that I just kept coming back to on having the biggest impact on the business was clarity around your vision and strategy and all the nuances that go with it. making sure everybody on your leadership team understands that, you know, the true essence of it and all the nuances. You've got a capital plan that's not just about how much capital you need now, but in every round now and into the future. And then building the right culture with the right performance management, compensation system, values, behaviors, mission. How do you attract the very best people in the world, but not only attract them, get the very best they've got to give. If you can create that type of culture where you attract the best and get the best out of them, and you've got clarity around your vision strategy and an org structure that supports the strategy, and you've got the right people in the right spots with the right capital plan, then everything else just happens, magic happens. And so I spend 90% of my time just thinking about those three buckets. And it's how we're able to run so fast because you've got the right foundational components in place and you've got the right people in the right spots. But you had mentioned before, Andrew, about the big vision. And this is, I just want to spend a couple of minutes on it, if I could, like how excited I am about this. It's changing my life, and I think it will hopefully change millions of lives in the future. I am, just to start off, you mentioned AI. I am now at a point where 90% of my meals that I'm eating on a daily basis, weekly basis, are AI directed. So I'm not choosing what to eat. AI is telling me what to eat for breakfast, lunch, and dinner most days. And AI has my blood results, which I feed it, my Oura Ring data, my glucose data, my in-body scale results. And it takes all this data and I set health goals, and it basically tries to optimize for foods I love while making me healthier. So the first priority is food I love, but then it's able to fix my biomarkers, lose weight, get healthier, still loving the food. And so after every meal, I just rate the meal zero to 10 and it keeps getting smarter and smarter. And so now it's to the point where every meal is like, great. I love every meal. It knows the foods I love better than me. The next step to go from 90% to 100% is like when I eat out at a restaurant, it's not AI yet, but we have the 375,000 menus from Grubhub. In the not too distant future, when I go out to a restaurant, AI will tell me what to get off the menu. And then it's 100%. Then I'm literally, I'm just basically leaving it to AI. I'm healthier. I'm happier. I don't have to think about food and also wealthier, which might not, you know, be so, you know, intuitive. But imagine, you know, it just takes, you know, anybody in America and they cook every meal, you know, they're watching their dollars and how they're being spent. AI basically just sends you your groceries, you don't order, just shows up, put everything in the fridge, put it in the cabinet. And then you just listen, you wake up in the morning, AI says, okay, have this for breakfast. Make this for lunch. Make this for dinner. Here's the recipe. If you listen to AI, not only will you love the food, not have to think about it and get healthier, AI is going to make 100 percent efficient use of your groceries. You'll never throw anything away. So waste goes to zero. Today, 30 percent of food in America is wasted. So imagine if you take those savings, you know, 30 percent waste and you reinvest that back into slightly healthier food. Right. Instead of getting the cheap canola oil, you're cooking with avocado oil now. Well, you couldn't afford that before. Now you can because you're not wasting. You're not wasting right? So I think this is the future. It's coming fast. We're going to go into beta with this early next year. And then, you know, so that's what I'm excited about.
