What Happened to Vocational Trainees?

Researchers tracked workers for five, six years after the interventions first took place. They found there are persistent effects on the types of work that these individuals are engaged in up to five years later. This is driven by this slight discouragement early in their job search, which causes permanent reductions in their employment rates. And again, just to emphasize, job search is a very dynamic process.
