I had no idea what I was doing. There really wasn't a real estate school at the time. Most real estate developers would cut an MBA or something like that. And architecture school didn't have any business classes. So I was kind of off in the wilderness wandering around. It literally, without exaggeration, took me about seven years to get my first deal.
