Play is a response to weariness, that goes deeper than just its distractive and pure fun nature. Play has some element of there's important stakes that we take seriously. There's even some element of competition, but we're not treating it as life or death. And i think hat we are actually meant to engage life, and so much of life, including public life, including politics and culture and race, in that spirit.
