The End of Times Philosophy
John Nelson Darby predicted that Jews will return to Palestine and the nation of Israel will be restored. The world would become hellish, filled with misery and suffering, culminating in something Darby called the Rapture. Almost every generation since the birth of Christianity had some group of people who believed the end was near.
