If you have one person that tends to enjoy doing more of the planning, then you hope the other person at least can weigh in on. And I'm very lucky. My husband understands that this actually takes time. This is mental load. This is emotional labor. So if I work to put something together that he's not part of, he's going to be respectful about it. But the same time I want to include him. That's why I do feel like, um, I mean, I called it a retreat and we do.
