The Second Campaign to Kill the Emu

Meredith's report spoke of the extensive damage that the emus had done. He also explained, as best as he could, why he had used so much ammo on so few birds. It must be realized that an emu full out can do 45 miles an hour and is only visible for a very short time. People in the government appeared to try to distance themselves from the idea of a second campaign. So it was back to Meredith and team who were being lampooned as Major Meredith and his Mary Men.
