I err on the side of telling people pretty much their arc as far as is reasonable. So I wouldn't like in episode one tell someone how they're going to end in season five. We laid out everything about Elias to him early season three shortly before the shortly before the big villainous turn. Ben has been one of the ones who I've always enjoyed his reactions to discovering the twists quite a lot.
