Plato's Theorem of Inner Conflict
Plato posits an idea that has become, again, so natural to us that we justtink, oh, ye, of course. Plato comes up with the idea that we have different centres in the psyche,. Each centre has a different cognitve relationship to the world and motivates us in different ways. He represented this mythologically, right? He said, theye's like a part of us that's like a man. So remember that context, because what's intriguing is how much plato was able to rise above that. We are clearly beset by this inner conflict. There seems to be a deep connection between inner conflict and self deception, self destructive self deception.
