Building on Perma Frozen Soil
Building on permo frost is very difficult, because the heat of the building will typically warm up the pirma frost and then partially melt the ground underneath it. So what you have to do is build foundations on wooden piles, basically building on stilts. The amount of carbon dioxide that' sequestered us in perma frost is about four times the amount of CO2 released by humans. As the globe warms, perma frost melts, which releases greenhouse gases - contributing to global warming.
